Dear Parents and carers

Thank you for your understanding regarding the closure of Davidson on Thursday 1st March due to the adverse weather conditions.

I realise that for many working parents this is frustrating and it was not a decision that was taken lightly.  The reason we closed was due to the fact that a number of staff were unable to get to work on that day from where they live.

Fortunately the weather for the week ahead looks much warmer without the risk of snow!

Please do however continue to check the school website and parent messages which are sent out if the weather does take a turn for the worse again.

It was unfortunate that we had to postpone our celebrations for World Book day due to the weather.

I am however pleased to inform you that we will be celebrating World Book day on Friday 9th March instead and invite all children and staff to come to school dressed as a book character. This will be a non-uniform day for all children.

The author Grant Koper will also be visiting the school on this day and will be leading a whole school assembly. This will be a great opportunity for the children to learn more about his work and ask him any thought provoking questions.

Thank you for your continued support and have a safe weekend.

Yours sincerely

Mrs Dando

Principal
