As the oldest year group within the academy, we undertake many activities in addition to those on offer elsewhere. We visit PGL Marchants Hill for our residential school journey and take part in lots of activities such as abseiling and climbing. Throughout the year, we are visited by Transport for London for talks on road safety and take part in the Bikeability, the on-road cycling training course. At the end of the year, we put together a production this year it is ‘Bugsy Malone’.
As part of this, children in Year 6 are expected to set the example in terms of behaviour for the rest of the school. They are often asked to help out with parent information days and other visitors. Children are encouraged to become more independent when working on homework and other activities in preparation for secondary school.
