Newsletter w/c 23rd April 2019

Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope you all enjoyed the Easter Break, welcome back to what will be another fun filled term for the children.

We started this week with celebrating St George’s Day, the children dressed up in red and white and learned about the celebration day. The children completed activities ranging from reading the story, re-enacting the story, creating art work and story boards. Thank you to all the staff for organising such a great day for the children. A special thank you to Mrs Linford and the PTA for awarding the children with an Easter Egg for coming back to school on the first day of term.

Attendance remains a key focus, our school target is 97%, please try your best to get your child/ren in everyday.

We have re-opened the Jesmond Road and Infant gate, this is to improve the punctuality rate and to reduce traffic flow at the front of the school.

The Year 6 and Year 2 children will take the SATs tests in May, the children are doing really well but it would be much appreciated if parents and carers could support the children with giving the children a little push in learning spellings and times tables. Please see the class teachers for fun, interactive ideas and get the whole family involved.

Farzana Begum

Acting Principal
