Dear Parents and carers,
It has been a really busy week at Davidson Primary Academy.
The children and staff had a fantastic Autism Awareness Fun Day this Tuesday, it was a great success. We have raised over £200 so far and will announce the total amount raised after the Easter holidays. This was achieved with the support of the PTA, the staff running activities and parents making contributions for the activities. All proceeds will go to refurbishing the sensory room.
Today I had children from across the school attend my half termly ‘Breakfast with the Principal.’ This time I personally selected the children who attended for a range of reasons which include their consistent hard work, determination, progress in all areas of their learning and most of their impeccable manners and respect they show at all times. Thank you children for attending my breakfast.
I also held a surprise breakfast for members of Silver Birch class because they have shown great determination, passion, loyalty and resilience this half term. The children were treated to pain au chocolat, waffles, strawberries, grapes, cinnamon swirls and lots more!
I would like to announce that we have decided to re-open the Jesmond Road and Infant gate. The school opening and closing times will remain the same. We hope that this will help improve our punctuality rate.
Have a wonderful break and I hope to see everyone dressed in red and white on the first day back, Tuesday 23rd April.
