Newsletter w/c 4th September 2019

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back to a new academic term.  We have had a fantastic start to the new term, the children have returned dressed immaculately in their uniforms, which they wear with great pride.  They have settled into class and showing a great positive attitude to learning.  I am very proud and greatly impressed.

This week we welcomed our new Reception parents and children.  It was lovely to see the parents and children come in together and work with all our staff to settle the children into a new routine and environment.  I have been popping into the class, I have observed the children having a fantastic time taking part in an array of different activities and enjoying the vast amount of space they have. They are happy and having fun with their learning.

This week the children have focused on completing transition activities to help them settle into their new classroom environment.  They have all discussed the school Golden Rules, the 3C’s and have helped create their own classroom rules.

Year 4,5 and 6 have been informed on the roles and responsibilities they are able to apply for within Pupil Parliament, these include:

  • Head Boy/ Girl (Year 6 only)
  • Deputy Head Boy/ Girl (Year 5 and 6 only)
  • Prefect (Year 5 and 6)
  • School Ambassador (Year 5 and 6)
  • Break and Lunch Time Ambassadors (Year 4, 5 and 6)
  • Play time and Lunch Time Buddies (Year 4, 5 and 6)

The children have been requested to write a letter of application, it would be great if you could support and encourage your child to apply.

We will start our Tea and Coffee Morning from next Tuesday and every Tuesday after that, please pop by for a hot drink and a chat. We will be based at the main entrance.

Have a lovely weekend.

Yours sincerely,

Miss Begum
