Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope you have all had a well rested holiday, welcome back to the final half term of this academic year.

This week we have focused our efforts on trying to improve punctuality.  Mr Mbanga has conducted a late desk all week and we will continue to do so until we see significant improvements. A school is judged for the rates of Attendance and Punctuality.  Please support the school in making the improvements.

At Davidson Primary Academy we have started a FREE Parent and Toddler Group.  We have had lots of positive feed back from parents who attended. Please spread the word, we offer indoor and outdoor space for the children to play, a wide range of activities and resources, fruit, drinks and refreshments for all.  It’s all FREE.

I would like to give a child in Year 5, Milena a special mention.  She recently cut her hair to donate to a children’s cancer charity.  This is such an admirable act and deserves recognition.

The summer half term is generally a very busy term with a whole array of events taking place.  Please take a moment to look at our key dates as you may want to take time off to volunteer on trips, attend sports days and other events listed which are open to parents.

Farzana Begum

Acting Principal
