This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Officer!
Davidson Primary Academy are seeking to appoint a confident, numerate and well organised Finance Officer. The Finance Officer will be working closely with the Trust’s Chief Financial Officer in managing the Academy finances. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting in the operation of the Academy’s accounting system, raising purchase orders, entering sales and purchase invoices, assisting with income and petty cash claims; issuing invoices for the hire of school buildings, undertaking bank reconciliations and all associated filing etc.
Successful applicants will need to:
- Ideally have experience of working in Schools/Academies
- Hold a finance qualification such as AAT or equivalent
- Have excellent numeracy and administrative skills
- Good knowledge of Excel and Word
- Be highly organized and skilled at managing systems
- Have a ‘can do’ attitude
- Have the ability to multi-task and be able to problem solve
- Maintain accurate records with the attention to detail
- Monitor and review, and a clear system of record keeping
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Have the ability to form strong professional relationships at all levels;
- Be ambitious and have the energy and creativity to make a significant contribution to the whole Trust.
