Dear Parents and Carers,
I want to thank the School Council, Pupil Parliament and the Junior Ambassadors for organising such a great bake sale. The children did tremendously well in bringing their own baked/bought /made goods (with the help of parents and carers), they worked collectively to set up the stall and sell the items. They raised a whopping £96.00 in their first event. I am extremely proud of their efforts. Their next project is to organise a Family Quiz Night!
I would like to notify you that I have had some local residents raise concerns about Davidson parents and carers driving and parking dangerously and illegally around the school area. Please be reminded that parking and dropping off is not permitted on the yellow zig zag lines, the area is a 20 mph speed zone and it is illegal to park on double yellow lines. Please drive and park responsibly.
As you know we are very much focused on improving reading skills, we have sent you information on the VIPERS scheme which we are using in school. It would be helpful for you to use the questions at home too. To further encourage children to read we reward them with weekly certificates if the children can get 5 parents comments in their reading journals.
We encourage healthy living in school and it is great to see lots of children walking or riding a scooter. Please be reminded that scooters must to be locked onto the stand. If your child does come home with the wrong scooter please bring it back to school.
Have a lovely week end!
