Dear Parents and Carers,
This Monday was Martin Luther King Day, the children had the opportunity to reflect back on their learning on this iconic famous person and celebrate his achievements. The children discussed what qualities you need to make a difference in the world and how small changes can make a big impact.
The children continued to learn about ‘responsibility’. In class they discussed how to be responsible citizens and a good member of the community. During the whole school assembly we discussed taking responsibility for the whole school actions which are to improve standards of school and PE uniform, improve presentation of work and showing good behaviour at all times.
The Junior Ambassadors, Pupil Parliament and Key Stage 2 School Council members are planning and preparing a cake sale for the key stage 2 children. They are organising this event to support and raise money for a numbers of charities which support young people and families in Croydon. They will hold the sale on Tuesday in the key stage 2 playground for the key stage 2 children only. I would be very grateful if you could send the children with no more than £2.00 in a sealed envelope so they can make purchases.
As a school we are still working on improving attendance, I would appreciate if all parents and carers could take the time to read Absence Policy which is available on the website.
Have a lovely week end!
