Newsletter w/c 7th October 2019

Dear Parents and Carers,

This week the Pupil Parliament delivered an assembly to the all the children in the school. The chosen theme for their assembly was ‘What makes our school great?’  The children worked very hard to create an excellent PowerPoint presentation. The content of the assembly and the delivery was fantastic. Here are a list of things that the pupils believe make the school great: caring teachers, learning is fun, there are lots of resources for lessons,

huge spaces to play in, the children feel safe and cared for, they also think the school rules are good and easy to follow.

Year 5 went to their first swimming lesson of this year.  As a school we are really trying to give children experience of activities beyond the classroom. We have intentions to expand our music provision and we will be starting Forest School next term.  As many of you will understand that school budgets are small and we will be asking for monetary contributions for some events.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank all the families who have contributed to our Harvest Food Bank collection. We are having one last push, so please take a look in the cupboards this weekend and see if you can donate any items.

Have a lovely weekend.

Yours sincerely,

Miss Begum
