Newsletter w/c 21st January 2019

Dear Parents and carers,

This week the whole school had an assembly delivered by Sound Step.  The assembly informed the children on the different instruments the children can learn to play, the piano and the key board.  The children had a music teacher play the key board and the children guessed the song, which they very much enjoyed.  Sound Step run lessons in the local area, if you are interested in your child having lessons then please contact them via the website.

I have spent some  time in Year 1 this week to follow their journey as astronauts.  Last week they made rockets to fly into space.  This week they went into space and saw an alien! Not only that, they have reported sightings of a space ship with Beegu in it.  Beegu may visit Davidson soon!

In Year 2 they have also been on a Space themed learning journey.  I spent some time in Holly class and had the opportunity to write an interesting character description of an alien.

It was Handwriting Day on Wednesday and I had lots of children who came to show their beautifully presented work who tried to persuade me to give them a handwriting pen.  Well done children for making a huge effort with improving presentation.

Have a lovely weekend.

Yours faithfully,

Miss Begum

Acting Principal
